One of the joys of Chad Degenhart's weblog is that when he chooses to post on a topic, the result is usually a lengthy and detailed essay that explores an unexpected line of thought, one based on Chad's extensive reading on the subject. I've learned a lot from Chad's writings, and our family has made some adjustments in our lives as a result of what he's written. So I was glad when he agreed to sit down with me and spend some time discussing one of the thornier topics facing those of us who are working towards a pre-modern way of life: insurance.
