I was a reluctant convert to full-blown agrarianism; for years I understood the need to live a simple life, and to disengage from the corruption of modern culture, but rural agriculture-centered living held no natural appeal for me. And then God graciously gave me a friend named D.J. Hammond, who over the past five years has left behind the corporate life and worked diligently and faithfully to establish the sort of small family farm that will provide the life he wanted for his children, and for their children after them. I watched D.J. closely, had many long and thoughtful discussions with him, and the steps my family has taken towards farming since then are a direct result of his inspring example.
Join us for some plain talk about the goodness of farm life, the need to instill a love of hard work in our children, and the potential for building community through shared work.
