One of the two doctrinal works we decided to keep in our catalog is Martin Luther's The Bondage of the Will. This book may be the most important book ever written after the Bible, being Luther's definitive defense of the core doctrine of the Reformation, that not only is salvation by faith alone (sola fide), but that faith itself is a gift of God, by grace alone (sola gratia) and not of ourselves—"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8)
